Hopkins-Harvard Scrimmage Moved to Friday
Feb. 2, 2010
BALTIMORE, MD -- The men's lacrosse scrimmage between Johns Hopkins and Harvard, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 6 (1 pm) at Homewood Field and previously moved up to Friday, February 5 at 4 pm, has been moved up again and will now begin at 11 am. The change in schedule comes in light of the projected forecast for the weekend.
The forecast for Saturday is calling for a potentially significant snow event in the Baltimore area. While the exact time the storm could arrive is still not certain, it appears as though the move to Friday morning should allow for the scrimmage to be played.
Check back to hopkinssports.com for an update should the weather force another change in the schedule. Updates will be posted only in the event of a change from Friday's 11 am start. If there is nothing posted on the web site then the scrimmage will go on as scheduled on Friday at 11 am.
The Blue Jays will scrimmage Cornell on February 13 in Ithaca, New York before opening the 2010 season at home on Friday, February 19 against Manhattan. The game against the Jaspers will be broadcast live on ESPNU and is one of 13 nationally-televised games for the Blue Jays this season.
