2018 Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse Schedule (w/ TV Information)

BALTIMORE, MD -- The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team will make a national-best eight appearances on the ESPN family of networks during the 2018 season it was announced on Wednesday evening. The Blue Jays will open and close the regular season with live national broadcasts on ESPNU.

The Blue Jays' eight appearances are at least double what every other team in the nation has except one as Notre Dame will make six appearances on either ESPNU or ESPN3 - no other team in the nation will play more than four games on ESPNU or ESPN3. The other five men's lacrosse teams in the Big Ten - Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Michigan and Maryland - will make a combined total of just two more appearances than Johns Hopkins as those five teams will play a total of 10 games on ESPNU or ESPN3.

ESPNU will carry live broadcasts of Blue Jay home games against Towson (Feb. 10), North Carolina (Feb. 23), Ohio State (Apr. 7) and Maryland (Apr. 28), while games against Princeton (Mar. 3) and Delaware (Mar. 17) from Homewood Field will air live on ESPN3 with a tape-delay broadcast on ESPNU the day after those games.

In addition to the six home games, the Blue Jays will also play live on ESPNU at Virginia (Mar. 24) and at Penn State (Apr. 14).

An extensive television package is nothing new for the Johns Hopkins under the direction of head coach Dave Pietramala.  Since Pietramala took over in 2001, the Blue Jays have played 205 of their 261 games on television and Johns Hopkins remains the only men's lacrosse program in the nation with an exclusive national television agreement.
