Blue Jays Open Fall Practice, Seven Advance in Team USA Tryouts

Noteworthy: Has started a team-best 47 consecutive games - every game of his career.

2012: William C. Schmeisser Award winner as the nation's top defenseman • 13th different Johns Hopkins player to win the Schmeisser Award (the 13 have won it 16 times) • First Team All-American • Totaled a team-high 19 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls • Finished third on the team with his 35 GBs • Notched the second point of his career - an assist - in a 17-6 win over Albany • Led a JHU defense that held 13 of 16 opponents to nine goals or less and finished seventh in the nation in scoring defense (7.38).

2011: Second Team USILA All-American • First sophomore defenseman at Johns Hopkins to earn First or Second Team All-America honors since Dave Pietramala grabbed first team honors in 1987 • Started all 16 games on close defense and had one assist, 35 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers on the year • Finished fourth on the team in GBs and second in CTs • Leader of a defense that finished sixth in the nation in scoring defense (7.25) • Helped hold the opposition scoreless for a stretch of 14 minutes or longer 22 times and to one goal or less in 32 of 64 quarters on the year • Notched first career point - an assist - in the win vs. Manhattan.

2010: Started all 15 games on close defense • Only freshman to start every game and the first JHU freshman to start a season-opener on close defense since Matt Drenan in 2006 • Finished second on the team in caused turnovers (19) and sixth in ground balls (25) • Anchored JHU defense that held Manhattan scoreless for the first 53:12 - the longest such streak in the Dave Pietramala era • Came up with three ground balls and three caused turnovers against Maryland - forced turnover in final 20 seconds that gave JHU one last chance to tie in the 10-9 loss to the Terps • Totaled three ground balls and two caused turnovers at Loyola, when he attempted the first four faceoffs of his career and went 1-of-4 • JHU defense held the opposition scoreless for 10 minutes or longer 23 times on the season.

At LaSalle: Two-time US Lacrosse All-America selection and an Under Armour All-American as a senior • Two-time Pennsylvania All-State selection and a three-time All-Catholic pick • Phillylacrosse.com Player of the Year as a senior • Guided team to back-to-back state titles as a junior and senior • Also played golf for two years and twice earned All-Catholic honors.
