2005: Honorable Mention STX/USILA All-America and one of two JHU close defensemen to earn All-America honors (Tom Garvey - First Team) • Started all 16 games and scooped up a career-high 26 ground balls • Helped anchor a Blue Jay defense that finished second in the nation in scoring defense (6.94) and held 14 of 16 opponents to nine goals or less and 10 opponents to seven goals or less.

2004: Started all 15 games on close defense • Start in the season opener against Penn was the first start of his career • Scooped up 18 ground balls and helped lead a Johns Hopkins defense that finished ninth in the nation in scoring defense (7.67 goals/game) and held 13 of 15 opponents to less than 10 goals • Unit held six opponents to six goals or less, including four straight early in the season.

2003: Hampered by injuries throughout the season • Played in six games and had one ground ball to his credit • Made first career appearance in a 14-5 win over Penn.

2003 Under-19 World Championships: Played in all six games and started four in leading the United States to its fifth straight Under-19 World Championship • Fueled a defense that allowed just 41 goals in the tournament • Had eight ground balls in the six wins.

At Loyola: Standout performer in lacrosse and ice hockey at Loyola • Two-time All-Metro selection in lacrosse • Helped lead lacrosse team to prestigious MIAA "A" Conference title as a junior.
