2010 World Championship MVP Rabil Among Dozen Former Jays Who Earn Tryout

Statistically Speaking: Ranks eighth in school history in career faceoff attempts (514) and needs 52 faceoff wins to become eighth player in school history to win 300 faceoffs.

2010: Won 65-of-143 (.455) faceoffs and led the team with 39 ground balls • Added one goal and one caused turnover on the year • Became the eighth player in school history to attempt 500 career faceoffs when he took four against Towson • Solid in season-opener vs. Manhattan as he was 7-of-9 (.778) on faceoffs with a team-high five ground balls • Came back with a 6-of-11 showing with five GBs vs. Delaware • Was 8-of-16 with six ground balls against Princeton - recorded his 200th career faceoff win and took his 400th career faceoff against the Tigers • Came back with an 8-of-17 showing on faceoffs and added a team-high five ground balls against UMBC • Won 6-of-11 faceoffs with two GBs at top-ranked Virginia and turned in a 7-of-9 showing with four GBs against Albany • Scored first goal of the season in the win against Towson and closed regular season by winning 4-of-8 faceoffs against Loyola.

2009: JHU's top faceoff specialist • Won 130-of-252 (.516) faceoffs with a team-high 80 ground balls in 13 games • Missed the Hofstra game with an injury and sat out the game at Mount St. Mary's • Finished 10th in the nation in ground balls per game (6.15) and 33rd in faceoff winning percentage • Won 76-of-139 (.547) faceoffs with 54 ground balls, one goal and three assists during JHU's final eight games (played in seven of the eight) • Assisted on a Steven Boyle goal just nine seconds into the second half of the win vs. Siena - goal ignited a 7-0 second-half spurt for JHU • Won 12-of-24 faceoffs vs. Princeton with a career-high eight ground balls and added one goal while winning 2-of-2 faceoffs against UMBC • Made a miraculous return to action against Syracuse less than two weeks after suffering an injury expected to keep him out a month • Responded by winning 15-of-24 faceoffs with six ground balls against the Orange • Won 11-of-29 faceoffs with six ground balls and one assist against top-ranked Virginia - Assisted on a Chris Boland goal late in the third quarter that tied the game at 14-14 after the Blue Jays had trailed 12-6 • Scored one goal, grabbed two ground balls and was a solid 9-of-20 against the nation's top faceoff specialist at North Carolina (Shane Walterhoefer) • Enjoyed a solid all-around game against Albany as he won 11-of-17 faceoffs, grabbed eight ground balls and dished out two assists • Won 10-of-19 faceoffs and grabbed seven ground balls to fuel the win over Maryland - The Terps' Bryn Holmes entered the game ranked fifth in the nation in faceoff winning percentage (.610) • Enjoyed a solid effort against Navy with a 10-of-18 showing on faceoffs to go along with four ground balls and an assist • Totaled a then career-high nine ground balls and won 11-of-21 faceoffs in double overtime victory at Towson • Won 13-of-24 faceoffs and grabbed a career-high 11 ground balls in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Brown • Continued hot hand in the NCAA Quarterfinals against Virginia as he won 10-of-18 faceoffs with one goal and nine ground balls.

2008: Saw action in all 17 games as a faceoff specialist and won 53-of-119 (.445) faceoffs with 27 ground balls, one goal and one assist • Finished seventh on the team with 27 GBs • Enjoyed a successful collegiate debut in the season-opening win against Albany as he won 7-of-9 faceoffs and grabbed six ground balls • Won 3-of-6 faceoffs with two ground balls against UMBC and came back with a 4-of-7 showing with four ground balls and the first assist of his career against Hofstra • Assisted on a Kevin Huntley goal that ignited a 3-0 run against the Pride that turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead • Scored first career goal six seconds after a Stephen Peyser goal late in the third quarter against Virginia to tie the game at 8-8 • Won 3-of-5 faceoffs and grabbed three ground balls to fuel the win over Maryland • Took 6-of-9 faceoffs in the win over Navy (RS) and 4-of-7 vs. Mount St. Mary's • Won 3-of-6 faceoffs in the NCAA Quarterfinal victory at Navy • Won 6-of-12 faceoffs and grabbed three ground balls against the top faceoff specialist in the nation in the national championship game against Syracuse.

2008 ILF U-19 Championships: Named to the All-World team and selected as the Outstanding Midfielder in helping the United States to the Gold Medal • won 115-of-175 (.657) faceoffs in the seven victories • After winning 81-of-127 (.638) faceoffs in five pool-play games, took his efforts up a notch in the semifinals and championship • Won 15-of-20 in a 25-5 semifinal win over England before his 19-of-28 showing in a 19-12 win over Canada in the championship game.

At Malvern Prep: Three-year letter winner in lacrosse and football • Helped lacrosse team to a three-year record of 59-14 and one state championship (2006) • All-America, all-state and all-conference pick as a senior, when he totaled one goal and 12 assists and won better than 80 percent of his faceoff attempts • Fueled team's run to the state title as a junior with 21 goals and 17 assists while winning over 70 percent of faceoff attempts • Closed career with 24 goals and 34 assists while winning more than 70 percent of career faceoffs.
