LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins sophomore place-kicker Alex Lachman (Livingston, NJ/Livingston) has been named the Centennial Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his effort in Saturday's 39-31 triple overtime victory at Randolph-Macon. This is the fourth time Lachman has been honored as the Centennial Conference Special Teams Player of the Week in his career.
Lachman hit all four of his extra points and nailed a 22-yard field goal in the first overtime of Saturday's win against the Yellow Jackets. The four successful extra points ran his streak of consecutive extra points made to 31. His 31 consecutive extra points made are tied for the third-longest streak in Centennial Conference history. In addition, his 22-yard field goal was the 12th field goal of his career, which moved him into a tie for fifth place on Hopkins' career field goals list. He also ranks eighth in school history in career points as a kicker (67).
Johns Hopkins, which is 2-0 for the sixth time in the last eight years, travels to Gettysburg (0-2) to take on the Bullets this Saturday (September 20).
