At West Lafayette: Played football and baseball • Moved into starting lineup late in sophomore year in football and helped lead team to conference and state championships • Earned all-conference, all-area, 3A AP All-State and IFCA All-State as both a junior and a senior • Helped lead team to overall record of 37-5 in three years with sectional (junior) and regional (senior) crowns to go along with state title as a sophomore • Played 1B/DH for the baseball team.
