The Johns Hopkins men's fencing team won all seven of its duals over the weekend. The Blue Jays posted a pair of 22-5 wins over Cornell and host Lafayette on Saturday, and won all five of their matches Sunday at Stevens Tech. Hopkins defeated Hunter, 20-7, Sacred Heart, 21-6, Army, 16-10, New Jersey Tech, 20-7, and Stevens Tech, 22-5.
Sophomore Jason Park (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo) led Hopkins in the sabre by winning all 20 of his duals, while junior Fred Lee (Garland, TX/North Garland) finished 9-11 and freshman Nick Gonzalez (Houston, TX/George Bush) went 4-16.
Junior Bryan Bishe' (Glen Ridge, NJ/Montclair Kimberley) went 19-1 in the foil, while freshman Nick Marchuk (Ringoes, NJ/The Hun School at Princeton) finished 18-2 and senior Mark Riso (Jupiter, FL/The Benjamin School) was 16-4 on the weekend.
The Blue Jays' epee squad was paced by senior Matt Bouloubasis (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park), who went 17-3. Junior John Majewski (Wrentham, MA/King Philip Regional) and freshman Tom Fellows (Beverly, MA/St. John's Prep) each went 16-4 in the epee.
Hopkins will compete in the MACFA Championships on Sunday, February 29.
