Easton, PA - Freshman Brian Bishe' (Glen Ridge, NJ/Montclair Kimberley Academy) posted a perfect 9-0 record in the foil and sophomore Matt Bouloubasis (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) went 8-0 in the epee as the Johns Hopkins men's fencing team won all three of its duals Sunday at Lafayette College.

The Blue Jays, who improved to 16-6 this season, opened the day by defeating the host Leopards, 21-6. Hopkins went on to beat Cornell, 15-12, and Haverford, 16-11.

All four Blue Jays who competed in the epee finished with winning records on the day, as Bouloubasis went undefeated, junior Dave Kotlyar (Holland, PA/Council Rock) finished with a 5-2 mark, and freshmen John Majewski (Wrenthan, MA/King Philip Regional) and Alex Sinofsky (Montclair, NJ/Montclair) each went 4-2.

Senior Ryan Schwerzmann (Watertown, NY/Watertown) led the Blue Jays in the sabre by compiling a 7-2 record, while both freshmen Sampreet Niyogi (Voorhees, NJ/The Lawrenceville School) and James Chen (Boston, MA/Lawrencville School) finished the day 3-6.

In the foil, junior Daniel Frank (Mamaroneck, NY/Mamaroneck) went 5-4 and sophomore Emanuel Strauss (New York, NY/U.N. International School) finished 4-5.
