Johns Hopkins senior Matt Bouloubasis (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) won seven duals in the epee to lead the Blue Jay men's fencing team to a 28th place finish at the NCAA Championships this weekend.
Bouloubasis won seven of his 23 duals to place 20th in the epee standings, earning seven points for Hopkins.
Bouloubasis was making his third straight appearance at the NCAA Championships, as he finished 22nd in the epee in 2002 and 14th last season.
Ohio State won the championships with 194 points, followed by Penn State (160), Notre Dame (153), St. John's (149) and Columbia/Barnard (146).
