Varsity Four Finishes In Second at Head of Occoquan

LORTON, VA - The Johns Hopkins men's crew team had a solid outing at the Head of the Occoquan, the Blue Jays final race of the fall. The highlight of the race was a second place finish in the Collegiate Four race. Hopkins resumes competition in the spring with the Cooper River Sprints on March 22 in Sumerton, SC.
In the Collegiate Eight, Hopkins had two crews compete, finishing fourth and eighth respectively. The "A" team finished in fourth with a time of 16:58.5500. The "B" team placed eighth with a time of 17:59.5367. The Blue Jays raced three boats in the Collegiate Four, placing second, 11th and 15th respectively. The "A" team placed second with a time of 18:26.2000. The "B" team finished in 11th with a time of 20:12.9433 and the "C" team finished in 15th with a time of 21:15.6567.
