LORTON, VA - The Hopkins varsity boat of Rachel Raskob, Greg Kearns, Teddy Drivas, Wesley Fredericks, Chris Vaglia, Robert Mattina, Josiah Drewien, Lukasz Bugaj, and Matt Hart won the Championships 8+ race in 17:37 at the Head of the Occoquan last weekend.

The Johns Hopkins novice crew team placed fifth out of 11 teams in the Men's College Novice 4+ Race and ninth out of 12 teams in the Men's College Novice 8+.

In other varsity races, Barry Tong, Fredericks, Vaglia, Mattina, and Drewien (19.02.61) placed fourth in the Championship 4+ and Bugaj and Kearns (20:17.51) finished second in the Lightweight 2X event. Johns Hopkins also placed sixth in the Championship 2X event, finishing at 21:12.51.
