BALTIMORE, MD - Senior forward Matt Griffin (Glen Mills, PA/Penncrest) was named to the All-America Honorable Mention team on Saturday. Griffin was a first team All-Middle Atlantic selection by

Griffin led the team and ranked third in the Centennial Conference with 16.9 points per game. In 2006-07, he broke the Hopkins single-season record for free throws made (150) and free throw attempts (178). He started all 29 games and averaged 27.8 minutes per game, while shooting 64.9 percent from the floor, which ranked fifth in the nation. Griffin scored 29 points on January 24 in a win over Gettysburg to become the 13th player in school history with 1,000 career points. A 2007 Josten's Player of the Year Finalist, he earned First Team All-Centennial Conference honors and is an ESPN The Magazine Third Team Academic All-American.
