Johns Hopkins fell to the No. 7 spot in the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Poll released Tuesday.
Hopkins fell to Rowan, 4-2, Sunday on the final day of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Baseball Regional. The Blue Jays ended the season 40-4, setting school single-season records for wins and winning percentage.
Senior rightfielder Rob Morrison (Malibu, CA/Loyola) led the Blue Jays with a .477 batting average and 63 hits this season, while senior second baseman Tim Casale (West Hempstead, NY/Chaminade) hit .405 with team-highs of 44 runs scored and five triples.
Senior righthander Jeremy Brown (Baltimore, MD/McDonogh) led the Hopkins pitching staff by posting a 9-0 record and a 1.55 earned run average, while senior righthander Matt Righter (Clarion, PA/Lawrenceville Prep) went 7-1 with a 2.44 ERA.
The final ABCA poll will be released on Thursday, June 4.
