BALTIMORE, Md. - Johns Hopkins University senior pitcher Yani Rosenberg (Baltimore, MD/Gilman) was named to the 2002 NCAA Division III All-America Baseball Team as announced this week. Rosenberg, one of 11 players in school history to earn All-America honors, has earned second team honors in each of the last two seasons. He is one of five pitchers in JHU history to be named to the All-America team and one of two JHU players to earn All-America honors in consecutive seasons.

The Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year for a second straight season, Rosenberg led the Blue Jays with a 9-1 record and posted a 1.52 earned run average. In addition to Centennial first team honors, he was named first team Mid-Atlantic All Region for the second straight year and twice earned Centennial Pitcher of the Week honors.

Rosenberg also led the team in starts (10), complete games (4), innings pitched (71.0) and strikeouts (72). He became JHU's all-time strikeout leader with 260 for his career, ranks third in school history with 28 wins, and is third at Hopkins in career winning percentage (.875, 28-4).
