EWING, NJ - Senior pitcher Yani Rosenberg (Baltimore, MD/Gilman) and sophomore outfielder Craig Cetta (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) were named to the 2002 NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic All Region Baseball Team as announced on Monday. Rosenberg earned first team honors for the second straight season, while Cetta was named to the second team.

Rosenberg, a first team selection last year, also earned second team honors in 2000. He led the Blue Jays in wins (9), ERA for a starter (1.52), innings pitched (71.0), starts (10), complete games (4), and strikeouts (72). Rosenberg, named the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year for the second consecutive season, became JHU's all-time leader in strikeouts (260) and finished his career third at Hopkins with 28 career wins.

Rosenberg is also third at JHU in career winning percentage (.875, 28-4), third in starts (36), and boasts the second longest winning streak in school history with 17 straight wins over the 2001 and 2002 seasons. This season, he allowed just 43 hits in 71 innings and limited opponents to a .169 combined batting average.

Cetta earned all region honors for the first time after leading the team with 47 hits and 39 runs batted in. In his first year as a starter, he batted .356 (47-for-132) in 39 games and led the team with 23 hits with runners in scoring position. Cetta also led the club with 10 doubles, was sixth on the team in runs (33), and third with nine stolen bases.

The Blue Jays finished the season with a 35-9 record, the second most wins in school history, after posting a 1-2 mark in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament last weekend.
