SALISBURY, MD - The NCAA announced the seedings for the 2009 Division III Baseball Championship on Sunday night as the Johns Hopkins baseball team's automatic qualifier from its Centennial Conference championship earned it the No. 7 seed in the NCAA South Regional Tournament.

The Blue Jays captured the Centennial Conference title last week to earn their 16th all-time NCAA tournament berth. 2009 marks the fifth time in JHU history that the Blue Jays have been sent to the South Regional. Hopkins won the South Regional a year ago to earn a trip to the College World Series and advanced to the championship game. Both of the College World Series appearances by Hopkins (1989,2008) came after a berth in the NCAA South Regional.

Game times, matchups and other information about the NCAA South Regional will be available after it is determined on Monday, May 11. Tournament games begin on Wednesday, May 13.
