LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins senior Yani Rosenberg (Baltimore, MD/Gilman) was named the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week and freshman Mike Durgala (Annandale, VA/Thomas Jefferson) earned Player of the Week honors on Monday for the week ending April 7.

Rosenberg improved to 4-0 on the year with two wins in two starts. He allowed just one earned run and five hits in 12 innings, while striking out 11. Rosenberg held Washington College to one earned run and four hits in five innings, then pitched a one-hitter versus Franklin & Marshall, striking out seven. He lowered his ERA to 0.31 for the season and improved his career record to 23-3 (.884).

Durgala hit .692 in five games last week with nine hits in 13 at-bats, while adding four runs and seven runs batted in. He collected seven consecutive hits over three games versus Washington and Catholic, including a 4-for-4 performance against Catholic with two runs and two RBIs. Durgala currently leads Hopkins in hitting (.521, 25-for-48) and has added 12 runs and 18 runs batted in.

The Blue Jays, 22-4 overall and 8-0 in the Centennial Conference, travel to face Dickinson College on Tuesday for a CC contest at 3:30 p.m.
