Hopkins Moves Up One Spot to 13th in Latest Poll

BALTIMORE - The Johns Hopkins baseball team moved up one spot to 13th in the latest 2002 Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's NCAA Division III poll. The Blue Jays, 22-4 overall, received 145 points to tie Carthage (Wis.) for the 13th spot and are the lone Centennial Conference school in the top-30. Hopkins has won 10 straight games and 15 of its last 16 games.
The Blue Jays went 5-0 last week, defeating Washington College twice (17-10, 10-1), Catholic in a non-conference contest, 9-6, and finishing the week with a doubleheader sweep of Franklin & Marshall (4-1, 8-7). JHU is currently in first place in the Centennial with an 8-0 record and has its longest winning streak since the 1998 team won 11 straight games.
JHU travels to face Dickinson for a Centennial Conference game this afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
