April 3, 2009

BALTIMORE, MD -

Senior Todd Emr of the Johns Hopkins baseball team sat down with HopkinsSports.com this week to take a brief look back at his time as a Blue Jay. Emr led the team in several offensive categories last season to help the Blue Jays reach the NCAA College World Series national championship game last season in Appleton, WI.

Fifth-year senior Todd Emr returned for a final season with the Blue Jays in 2009 after suffering an injury in his junior after playing just five games.

A Westwood, NJ native, Emr led the team in hits a year ago to break the school record with 94. Emr had a 21-game hit streak in 2008 and led the team with a.487 batting average. He earned ABCA Second Team All-American status and All-Tournament Team honors at the NCAA South Regional.

This season, the senior has recorded 25 hits and scored 20 runs for the Blue Jays.

Emr is currently attending the Carey School of Business of Johns Hopkins University, pursuing his master’s degree in finance.
