BALTIMORE, MD - The Johns Hopkins baseball team moved up 18 spots to sixth in the latest American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III poll released on Monday. The Blue Jays (12-2) received 201 points, just four points out of third place, and are the lone Centennial Conference school in the top-30.

Hopkins, also ranked first in the Mid-Atlantic region, earned a No. 6 ranking last season for one poll, which was the highest ranking for JHU since the team was ranked fourth in the country for three straight polls during the 1998 season.

The Blue Jays defeated Gettysburg, 13-3, in their only game last week and have won three straight games overall. Hopkins is 4-0 against ranked teams this season, including wins over No. 5 Wooster (15-12), No. 19 Lakeland (9-0) and No. 26 Ithaca (5-1, 8-4).

Hopkins returns to action Tuesday as the Blue Jays host Dickinson in a Centennial Conference contest at 3:00 p.m.
