Setty Named Centennial Pitcher of the Week

LANCASTER, PA - Johns Hopkins senior Jason Setty (Mt. Pleasant, TX/Mt. Pleasant) was named the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday for the week ending March 24.
Setty posted a 2-0 record with a 0.00 earned run average in 14.1 innings last week. He threw a complete-game three-hitter, allowing just three unearned runs in a 19-3 win over SUNY-Brockport. Setty followed that with his fourth win of the year in a 15-6 win against Elizabethtown, yielding just four hits in 7.1 innings of relief.
Setty is now 4-0 on the season and sports a 16-2 record for his career. He has posted a 0.44 ERA in 20.1 innings this year and allowed just 10 hits and three walks while striking out 11 batters. Setty ranks second all-time at Hopkins with an .888 career winning percentage, trailing only Scott Orlovsky (29-3, .906), and has recorded at least four wins in each of his four seasons with JHU.
The Blue Jays (12-4) open Centennial Conference play this afternoon as Hopkins hosts Western Maryland at 3:00 p.m.
