Fort Myers, FL - The Johns Hopkins baseball team concluded its successful Florida trip with a 7-2 victory over No. 13 Allegheny College Friday morning.

With the win, the Blue Jays improve their record to 11-3 and finish their trip with a 7-1 record.

Junior righthander Jeremy Brown (Baltimore, MD/McDonogh) picked up the win and improved to 1-0 this season by allowing just two runs and five hits while striking out eight over the first five innings of the game. Senior righthander Yani Rosenberg (Baltimore, MD/Gilman) recorded the save by giving up only one hit and striking out five in four scoreless innings.

Junior outfielder Joe Urban (Nanticoke, PA/Bishop Hoban) led the Hopkins offensive attack by going 3-for-4 with a double, home run, and two RBIs. Sophomore infielder Carl Ippolito (Ewing, NJ/Pennington School) went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs batted in, and two runs scored.

The Blue Jays will take Saturday off before travelling to Elizabethtown College for a 1:30 p.m. game on Sunday. Hopkins returns home to host St. Mary's College at 3 p.m. Monday and Western Maryland College at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
