Fort Myers, FL - The Johns Hopkins baseball team opened its Florida trip with an easy 27-7 win over Robert Morris Saturday afternoon.

The Blue Jays scored 14 runs in the sixth inning and batted around in both the first and sixth innings to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Senior outfielder Mike DePalma (Norwalk, CT/Norwalk) went 3-for-5 with four runs scored and three runs batted in, while sophomore outfielder Craig Cetta (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, three runs scored, and four runs batted in.

Sophomore pitcher George Merrell (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) threw five innings to pick up the victory and improve to 1-2 on the season.

The Blue Jays return to action Sunday when Hopkins faces Suffolk at 7 p.m.
