At Hopkins: Will be part of the starting rotation. Also plays football at JHU. Has excellent control, good velocity, and is smart on the mound. Very durable and athletic.
2001: Appeared in nine games, making four starts. Recorded a 5-0 record with a 1.89 earned run average, two complete games, and one shutout. Totaled 33.1 innings pitched with 17 strikeouts and just seven walks. Pitched a three-hit shutout in a 9-0 win against SUNY-Farmingdale on May 5. Pitched a complete game allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out seven in an 8-3 win over Western New England in the NCAA Regional Tournament. Recorded his first career victory in the season opener versus Widener, striking out two batters in two innings and allowing just one hit.
Personal: Also played football and basketball in high school. First team all-conference in baseball and football. District all-star selection. Baseball most valuable player and offensive most valuable player for football at Central Columbia. Civil engineering major.
