At Hopkins: Will compete for starting spot. Can also relieve. Has good control and throws four pitches for strikes. Finished 2001 with two strong starts.
2001: Pitched in six games making two starts. Recorded an 0-2 record and a 3.06 earned run average in 17.2 innings pitched. Allowed just three hits and no runs in five innings of relief work. Pitched 7.1 innings versus York, allowing two earned runs on eight hits in the longest outing of his career. Pitched a strong 5.1 innings against Montclair State in the NCAA Regional Tournament in a 4-2 loss.
2000: Pitched in two games for a total of 2.1 innings. Gave up nine hits and seven earned runs while striking out two batters. Pitched one inning versus Villa Julie, giving up one hit and one earned run, while recording one strikeout.
Personal: Also played football in high school. Second-team All-Conference his junior and senior seasons for baseball and honorable mention All-Conference in football. A film and media studies major.
