2001: Pitched in 11 games, making four starts • posted a 5-2 record and 1.45 earned run average with two complete games and one shutout • was fourth on the team in innings pitched (49.2), third in strikeouts (40) and held opponents to a .216 batting average • struck out seven batters and did not allow an earned run for his first career victory against Virginia-Wise • followed that with five shutout innings against Johnson & Wales for his second victory • threw a three-hit shutout versus Washington College on April 4 and totaled five strikeouts • did not allow an earned run in his first five games, a total of 24.1 innings • allowed just two hits while striking out six in five innings for the win versus Villa Julie on May 4 • struck out seven and gave up just two runs in seven innings to pick up the win against Gwynedd-Mercy in the NCAA Tournament.
