Hopkins Athletic Facilites|
|| Homewood Field|
Johns Hopkins University is home to one of the finest stadiums in the nation. The stadium features a state-of-the-art scoreboard and message center, a newly-installed Sportexe Momentum Turf playing surface and a seating capacity of 8,500. The lighted facility allows for night games throughout the year, which only adds to the atmosphere and provides a definite home field advantage.
In addition to the opportunity to play and practice at historic Homewood Field, the football, lacrosse, soccer and field hockey teams have access to a fully-lighted practice facility with an identical playing surface. Located less than 50 yards from Homewood Field, the practice field is situated in a scenic part of campus and provides a quiet atmosphere for practice.
|Varsity Weight Room|
All Johns Hopkins athletic teams train in the recently renovated varsity weight room in the Newton White Athletic Center. In addition to featuring the latest in training and weightlifting equipment, a new floor, air conditioning and a sound system were added to the room during the summer of 2005 as part of a $250,000 renovation of the room. Access to the room is limited to varsity athletes only and members of the team train year-round in this facility.
