Johns Hopkins hits the road on Thursday to take on 18th-ranked Penn State in a game set to be televised on the Big Ten Network. The Blue Jays are looking to rebound after a loss to the second-ranked Terps in both teams’ Big Ten opener on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions are coming off a tough 13-12 loss to 16th-ranked Princeton on Monday.

For the second day in a row the Johns Hopkins baseball team needed extra innings for the second day in a row, and for the second day in a row the Blue Jays fell in extras, this time to Bethel by a score of 6-5 in 12 innings.

The Blue Jays Scored Nine Runs in the Sixth
Down 8-2 in the bottom of the sixth, the Johns Hopkins baseball team sent 12 men to the plate as JHU scored nine runs to take an 11-8 lead. Plymouth St. would make a comeback of its own, scoring three runs in the eighth and another in the tenth to win the game by a score of 12-11.
