Joanna came to Johns Hopkins in 2014 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. She received her Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Frostburg State University in 2010 and earned her Master's degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
While attaining her master's, Joanna completed a thesis titled "Collegiate Athlete's Knowledge on How Alcohol Consumption Affects Athletic Performance."
In August 2011 Joanna began a two-year stint at Bucknell University working with the field hockey, swimming and diving, baseball, track and field, and football teams. In 2013 she worked at nearby Loyola University of Maryland with the women's soccer team.
At JHU, Joanna works with women's soccer, swimming, and baseball. She is NATABOC certified and also has certifications in Functional Movement Screening and as a Performance Enhancement Specialist.
