Erin Long started working at Johns Hopkins University in 2008. She started as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Hopkins from 2006-2008 while pursuing a master's degree in health administration at Towson University. During this time she continued to work with the men's lacrosse program as well as volleyball, wrestling, and cross country teams.
In 2008, Erin was hired as a full time assistant continuing with the volleyball and wrestling teams while also taking over as the primary athletic trainer for the women's lacrosse program.
In August of 2009, Erin was promoted to associate athletic trainer in the sports medicine department working with both the men's soccer and women's lacrosse teams. She continues to work with both of those programs in addition to being in charge of student hiring, scheduling, and inventory.
Erin is NATABOC certified as well as an AHA instructor for CPR. She lives in Glen Burnie, MD with her husband Ricky and children Brayden and Brielle.
