The ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins men's tennis team will travel to Middlebury, VT for the 2013 NCAA Tennis Regional this weekend. The Blue Jays (19-2) earned a first-round bye for the sixth consecutive year and will play the winner of Vassar and Marywood Saturday at 10:00 am. The seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team will travel to Pittsburgh, PA for the NCAA Regional this weekend. Hopkins, which is making its seventh straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, will face the winner of the Scranton-La Roche first round match on Saturday at 11:00 am. The Blue Jays travel to Widener, PA for the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet as they look to solidify qualification standards for the NCAA Championship in La Crosse, WI May 23. Athletes must rank in the top-22 nationally to qualify for the championship, and Hopkins will also be looking to qualify a relay team.
-- Baseball Season Hinges on Decision of NCAA Selection Committee --
The No. 14 Blue Jays (36-8) faltered in the latter portion of the season, falling to Franklin & Marshall in the Centennial Conference championship game. As a result, Hopkins is looking to become the first team in Centennial history to receive an at-large NCAA tournament bid. The bracket will be officially posted on the NCAA website at 10:00 am on Monday, May 13.
