-- Men's Lacrosse to Scrimmage Penn State in Happy Valley --

The Blue Jays close their two-game preseason slate Saturday as they travel to Penn State for a scrimmage at noon. The contest will be the final test for Hopkins before it opens the season against Siena February 8 on Homewood Field at 5:00 pm.

-- Men's Basketball Hosts Swarthmore for Wall-O'Mahony Game --

The Blue Jays (8-4, 12-7 CC) can make it five wins in a row tonight as it welcomes Swarthmore (5-15, 4-9 CC) to Goldfarb Gym for the 12th annual Wall-O'Mahony Game. Hopkins defeated the Garnet in a rout, 63-44, earlier this season on January 8. The Blue Jays enter the game on the heels of a dramatic 17-point comeback Thursday night to defeat Gettysburg.

The game will commemorate the lives of Glen Wall and Matt O'Mahony, Hopkins basketball teammates from 1982-84 who were killed in the World Trade Centers on September 11, 2001. The men's locker room was rededicated as the Wall and O'Mahony Basketball Room in 2003, while the beautiful Wall and O'Mahony Student-Athlete Lounge was dedicated in 2012.

-- Women's Basketball Takes on Conference Leaders --

Hopkins (11-9, 9-6 CC) hosts current Centennial Conference leader Swarthmore (16-3, 12-2 CC) in a matchup between two of the best teams in the region. The Blue Jays handed the Garnet their first conference loss of the season on January 8, 77-66. The win kick-started a hot streak for the Jays, who have won seven of their last eight games since. Head coach Nancy Funk earned her 600th collegiate victory Thursday night, as Hopkins defeated Gettysburg.

-- Track Aims for Program Records at Armory, Seamus McElliott Invites --

The Blue Jays are sending their best men's and women's distance medley relay lineups to the Armory Collegiate Invitational in the hopes of earning program records and posting national qualifying marks. The track should be fast, as 22 of 50 ranked teams in Division I will be in attendance.

Hopkins will also be competing at the Seamus McElliott Invitational in Haverford, PA on Friday and Saturday. Last weekend, junior Emily Swenson tied the program record in the 60-meter hurdles, while Megan McDonald broke the freshman record in the 400 meter run.

-- Wrestling Travels to Ursinus for Conference Tri-Meet --

Hopkins travels to Collegeville, PA Saturday for a tri-meet against conference foes Stevens Tech and Ursinus. The Blue Jays have rattled off two consecutive wins, including a 23-15 victory over Gettysburg on Wednesday. The Jays were beneficiaries of a pin from No. 1 Paul Bewak and a technical fall from Henry Stauber.
